You'll be just fine with that choice.
Like has been mentioned, the high shoulder shot is the one to go with for dramatic, drop em where they stand results. You'll lose a little shoulder meat, but you won't have a tracking job on your hands.

Alrighty then. I went to the range today.
Knowing I have 12 of the SP RN 117 gr bullets left for the 25-06, and that I have OCD. I shot 12 cartridges at 100 yds. No I'll reload these 12 again and have a full ammo box of 50.
No deep breathing, no real serious trigger pulling, and these are the results.
1st target has the 1st 7 shots. 2nd has the last 5. After a 15 minute break at the pistol range I came back and I shot the last 5 in less than 2 minutes.
The last one I shot spoiled the group and went high. I was very happy with those first 4.

All 12 shots will do and they will probably be tighter at 50-75 yds which is where I will probably get a clear shot when rifle season starts. As I shot they went up higher generally. The first shots were closest to the center.
I am not a sharp shooter, but these will do.

This is one of two places I will hunt from. Last night we got 4 inches of rain, it's windy and raining now, and it's gonna rain some more. I was looking out my window and the leaves were flying but til I got my camera they settled down. Wish I could have caught that picture. I took a real short movie but I don't know how to post it. Here's a screen shot. I'll be out in my shed and I can get a clean shot up that hill 75 to 100 yds when the leaves are gone. There's 300 yds of woods out back and miles of fields behind that and the deer come in there during hunting season.
I'll post the tree stand pics later which is 30 miles from here at the cabin.
I know it's not exactly a safari anymore for me. All my health will allow but I making the best of it.
There's two windows out back and a wood stove. Carpeted with a shooting bench. I can get a deer down the hill if I have to. Might take all day. LOL
