Why hasn't anyone made a larger magazine for a Mosin Nagant?

Well the Russians didn't need them. They had soldiers. Lots and lots of soldiers. If they lost a few they would just get more. They place(d) a different value on life than many other societies. Why bother building a larger mag that may work when you can just get more people with small mags that will work. Lenin said "Quantity is it's own quality." The old joke about how Russians clear a minefield: "By marching a company of men through it."

Let me officially say that I love my M44 and its a lot of fun. I agree that a big magazine is impractical BUT if I ever found a 30rnd mag for it I would be the first to get one.

The beauty of guns in America is we dont have to ask "why do you need this" sometimes its just damm cool. For example I dont NEED a highly polished Mark II with 8in barrel but ITS DAMM COOL
