Today I put well over 1,000 rounds of Blazer 9mm through my Ruger P95. All without a single malfunction of any kind and better than average accuracy. This is more than enough to make most of us smile, but it gets better.

I was with a group of girls who had never even seen a real gun before, and they found the P95 easy to learn, easy to shoot, and best of all - fun. AND they loaded every magazine from start to finish!!!!!!!!

Add this to the 1,000 rounds I put through a friend's FN49 ( I LOVE this pistol, btw - great accuracy, and I really dig the DAO trigger), the 300 rounds of .45 (half through my Ruger P97 and half through my new RIA 1911 - another thread for that story), the 100 or so rounds through th AR15 and the 100 rounds of .22lr through the relatively new to me Taurus 970 and HOOOOOO DOGGY it was a great day!

Is it just mine, or do all P95's have sweet stock triggers? (flame suit is already on, so let er' rip!)

Oh, btw - This is the first time I've ever shot the Blazer and I was pretty impressed with it's accuracy and function.

Ahhhh....Life is good. Time for a nap.

I wished that I had kept mine. I shot some nasty green dented up surplus cr*p as well as my learning how to reload 9mm without any malfunctions of any type. I think Ruger would get more respect from the gun snobs if they would raise their prices 100.00 across the board.

if they would raise their prices 100.00 across the board.

I'm not sure if I would've bought mine had it cost $100 more though. I got mine for $349 new, plus Ruger was offering a $40 rebate, so I really paid $309.

At thr $400+ range I would have looked at the used XD-9's.......

I still want an XD, but I think I'll keep the Ruger just a little bit longer now.

They are nice , They are not going to get any respect for raising the price $100 that makes no since

I'm also a closet Ruger autopistol lover. I'll admit that they don't feel as nice in the hand as a Beretta or a Sig does. But, some folks just get downright nasty and evil when talking about Ruger autos. For proof of that, check out the "guns you don't want" thread, or whatever it's called on another forum on this site, if you haven't already.

I own a P89 and a P90 that I bought back in the early 90's, and someone would still have a hard time getting them away from me. I've never shot a pair of autoloaders that have been more reliable and dependable than those 2. The P90 is also exceptionally accurate.

Enjoy your Ruger.

Enjoy your Ruger.

At one point I was enjoying the P95 so much I bought its big brother,
the P97 (.45 acp)from another THR user!

The P97 is INCREDIBLY accurate, even for a chump like me.

My KP89T is one sweet, sweet gun! No complaints, bought $349, far more accurate than I am, eats everything, fast and easy to strip and clean, looks and feels great (to me).

AutoRuger-haters are of two varieties:
1) political objectors (that would cut their noses to spite their faces)
2) snobs (that are happy to send thousands of dollars abroad and measure quality by price)

Good for them. They help keep the Ruger prices within the reach of anyone who cannot spend much but wants a combination of reliability, quality, and American make.
