I've had a Browning Buck Mark Camper for a number of years, but I've recently been looking for one of the Micro models with a 4-inch barrel. From what I can tell, there are very few of them available, and almost none that don't have the new URX grips. I did recently find one (finally!), and I was also able to trade in a rifle that I didn't need to get the Micro. I'm still wondering, though, why these little pistols aren't more popular. That 4-inch barrel handles wonderfully. Any idea why these are such a sleeper?

Browning Micro Buckmark.

I bought a Micro Buckmark (4" barrel) about fifteen years ago. I've run thousands of rounds through it and it still looks and shoots great. Purchased a pair of laminated wood grips that Browning had on sale and it really dressed it up. I also added Hi-Viz sights, front and rear and that made a big difference. Two of my friends have fired my gun and both went out and bought one for themselves. The ambidextrous original grips are fine, but the laminated wood grips put the finishing touch to it. Like you, I've often wondered why you don't see more about them in the gun magazines. They're affordable too... You'll enjoy it.

I purchased this Browning Buck Mark Micro Standard URX in 2006.

Why Buckmarks are so cool

I found out Browning sells parts, grips, and replacement barrels at very reasonable prices, making it easy to change grip and barrel styles at will. They are very courteous and helpful, too.
