Why not a HUGE capacity .380?

Get a Mac 11 in .380. Sounds like what you're looking for. Master Piece Arms makes semi-auto ones, I believe.

edit: Darn, no .380. I guess you'd have to get a real Mac 11, then.

Although there wouldn't be much more capacity, the recoil would be significantly less if you put it in the same size gun. Imagine a Glock 19 rebarreled to .380 auto with a lighter recoil spring. Way less recoil... and less powerful too.

Could be fun though.

My good friend has a browning BDA .380 that is an awesome pistol. They make extended 30 rounds mags for it - I bought him one for his birthday. It's comically long, but tons of fun to blast away with. The BDA .380 comes with 13 round factory mags which is reasonable, i think - my much larger s&w 659 9mm only holds 14 and it's a much bigger grip.

Hi Cap .380s

I owned a Bersa Model 85 - it took 13 round magazines - it was a good concept in its time, but was hardly a pocket pistol - too big. We now have 9mm pistols around the same size with the same capacity, some even smaller. Good deal in South America where you can't own military caliber firearms - cuts down on the armed rebellions or so they think. Hey, you get what you can handle. I got a 30 round mag for the Bersa 85 - it was fun to shoot, but even at a double stack length, wouldn't fit in my pocket.

Taurus is/was making a Mil-pro 380
with a 12 round mag,it's a locked
breach design so felt recoil should
be very low.
