If you've always wanted to shoot a full-auto, now's your chance!

On Sunday, March 12th, we'll be having a fund-raising shoot at The Shooters Shop in Milwaukee. The shoot will be from 11 am to 4 pm.

Here are the exotic guns we'll have for you to shoot:

M16A2M4 in .223
H&K G36K in .223
MAC10 in .45ACP plus suppressor
MAC10 in 9mm plus suppressor
MAC12 in .380 plus suppressor
Beretta 12 in 9mm
Walther MPK in 9mm
Thompson WH in .45 ACP
H&K MP5 in 9mm+suppressor
H&K UMP45 in .45 ACP
UZI micro pistol in 9mm
FN P90 in 5.7x28

This is a fund-raiser for our political action committee, the WCCM. Every dollar contributed to the WCCM goes to the campaigns of pro-gun candidates. This year we're especially focused on helping out whichever candidate--Mark Green or Scott Walker--wins the Republican primary to run against Governor Doyle.

The contribution to the WCCM to get on the range is $40 per person, and you can shoot any of the guns you want. Because of liability concerns, all ammunition must be purchased from The Shooters Shop on the day of the shoot.

You can shoot as much or as little ammo as you like!

So, not only do you get to shoot some really exotic weaponry, but you'll also be helping to oust one of the most anti-gun governors in the country at the same time!

Directions to The Shooters Shop can be found at http://www.shootersshop.com/contact.html

It would be very helpful if you would pay your contribution by check, as this makes it easier for us to record contributions.

Mark it on your calendar now. It's going to be a blast!

Thanks,
The Wisconsin Concealed Carry Association

I'm telling my wife to line up grandparents to help watch the kiddos on March 11th... Since I don't see fees listed, I can't say how many magazine's I'm good for, but I'll show up with my main donation at least.

Luckily for me, I can see the Shooter's Shop from my front door. I used to think that it was great, but lately, it's been torture. :p

Dick,

Since I'm so close, let me know if we need some volunteers for the event. i.e. set up chairs, pass out flyers, sort and collect targets, (or we should be so lucky) direct traffic. :D

It looks like you pay 40 dollars, then you buy all the ammo you want to shoot.

not bad as long as they don't raise rates of ammo 300% for the day. :D

AJ, just remember it's Sunday the 12th.

Ammo will be the usual price. And, yes, you can shoot as many of the guns as you like for the $40. Of course, it's not polite to hog a gun for the entire day. ;)

BigRobT, if this event is successful (and I'm sure it will be), we'll be looking at doing others in different parts of the state. In fact, I was talking last night with the guy who's contributing the guns for this shoot, and he'd like to do an outdoor shoot with belt-feds.

That would be phenomenal.

are they relaxing the 3 dollar a light rule :neener:

I hope I can make it, sounds like a cool time. I have always wanted to shoot a MP5, and a P90.

Bill2K1: nope. You shoot out a flourescent tube, you pay for it.

Since most folks have never fired full-auto's, we're going to have people who have that experience there to help them along. It may seem insulting to some, but I really don't want to have the range damaged. And I certainly don't want any people hurt by unsafe handling.

I also want as many people as possible to show up.

For those who may be saying to themselves, "wow, that's a lot of money to shoot a gun," here's the response: you're not paying $40 to shoot a gun. You're paying a small portion of that $40 to shoot submachine guns, and the larger portion is going to help defeat Governor Doyle.

Also, $40 to shoot any or all of the dozen or so subguns we'll have isn't exactly expensive. Read the prior posts. Find me somewhere in the country where you can shoot as many as ten or more subguns for $40.

Back in 2002, I organized a fund-raising banquet with Massad Ayoob as guest speaker. We had 200+ people attending.

Ayoob didn't ask for anything more than coachfare plane tickets and a room at a Super 8. He was fantastic to work with, to listen to, and to talk with.

That fund raiser brought in a net of just $6000 or so. It should have brought in ten times that amount, but I didn't know how to do fund-raisers, and I had very little help.

This subgun shoot should bring in almost as much as the Ayoob banquet.

You can help by getting the word out to everyone on your email lists.

By tomorrow, I should have a .pdf file for the flyer, which you can download, print out, and distribute to clubs and shops in your area.

The download page on our site is at this address.

I have to work that night, but jeez $40 for an opportunity to shoot a Thompson? I might have to sacrifice sleep for the greater good:D

I'll pass the word around to people I know. There are a few people I work with who would probably be interested.

Keep us posted. I don't know of any ranges in Eastern WI. I'm sure there are some.
