So, I've recently picked up a long range rifle. My first, and i also have a pistol length 300blk that's a hoot to shoot. I'm thinking about suppressors and I'm wondering if there are appreciable tuned differences between certain models. I want the can to ease recoil and increase accuracy on the rifle, while Also knocking sound down a tad, and In a perfect world that same can would serve to quiet the blackout, which doesn't really need a boost in accuracy and doesn't need any braking action.

I realize some cans are not up to the task of magnum rifle use but on the models that are, and are suited for the rifle uses I'm proposing, are they inherently not as good at the sound suppression use on the blackout?

The reason I ask is obviously $ related.

Look at the Specwar 7.62. Covers everything from .223 to .300 RUM. It's not the shortest or lightest, but it tests among the best and is one of the best priced. I should have mine by late this year.

i wouldn't expect a can to increase the mechanical accuracy of the rifle. it probably helps the trigger puller though, which looks like an accuracy increase.

the only downside would be weight and size as obviously a 300wm can is going to weigh more than a 300blk can needs to weigh. if you're ok with it, putting a 300wm can on a 300blk shouldn't be a problem at all.

You might check out the 762 Saker, it's 20oz and fairly short, but magnum rated. Also it has all kinds of available mounts so you can do everything from QD on .223 and .30 mounts to direct thread on 1/2x28 or 5/8x24.
