My wife and I have been married 1.5 years and in the beginning she was mostly anti-gun. I own many firearms now and she doesn't want to know about them. This is strange considering she has 3 LE officers in her immediate family (but some of them are the type that want no "evil" weapons for civilians). Hey, as long as I can keep my hobby, I'm not so concerned.

Anyways, we were talking last night and all of the suddent she says "Do you know what a Glock 18 is?"

I was shocked, I thought that someone had replaced my wife. She starts telling me that an FBI agent spoke to her criminal justice class and talked about the Glock he carried and described what a Glock 18 was. She even said "doesn't it have a 30 round magazine?", at least she knows it's a magazine and not a "clip" (well, it has a 33 round mag but close enough). I taught her about the legalities of full-auto weapons and other things and told her that if she wanted to rent a Glock 18, the local range would rent us one to try out.

I met with some FBI recruiters a few weeks ago and plan to apply when I graduate, she was very excited and liked all that she heard from the visiting agent. This is the first time that she has actually wanted to discuss guns with me. I've only taken her shooting once but she acted like she didn't like it. Next time I'll have some of her friends come, then she will really enjoy it.

Long story short, she is slowly being converted to the light! I couldn't be more proud.

FBI agent who carries a glock 18, I didnt realize an SMG was a standard issue item for FBI agents. I have to ask the one who waits with me at the bus stop about that. He and I each have two children who ride the same bus to elementary school every morning.

I didn't mean to imply that the agent carried a Glock 18, I guess one of the students asked about a Glock 18 and he started talking about them

Respectfully, it sounds like the wife is not getting used to civilian arms ownership, but with the idea of you becoming one of the elite, and therefore worthy of touching evil deadly guns!
