Took the wife to the range this weekend. First time there for her. We normally go out to the national forest to shoot, since we live 10 minutes away. She was a little intimidated by all the hunters and their ported belchfire magnums. We found a place at the end of the firing line away from the noise.
After a few preliminary sight-in shots, I turned her loose with the Saiga 308. She was able without too much coaching to spank the 500 meter gong several times. This with iron sights.
She also shot the AR out to 200 yards. With a 4X scope she was hitting the clanger dead-center every time. Good girl. I think I can count on her backing me up...
