Will Colt introduce the .45 / . 22 Conversion kit again?

These things sell for good money on Gunbroker when you can find them. Has anyone heard if Colt will re-introduce these?

With the popularity of 1911's right now, and the costs of ammo, I would think this would have to be a good seller...

I should have asked one of the Shot Show attendees to check on this.
 
dunno... but since they're selling the Umarex-Colt .22 1911 I doubt they'll sell a competing upper-only product for the same price. I sure like my Conversion Unit, though.

This is a good point. Didnt think about the competition aspect of it. But for some reason Id still rather have the conversion kit.
 
I just put another 300 rounds through mine last night... haven't cleaned it. No malfunctions. I love this thing. The heavy, blued steel slide makes you feel like you're shooting a "real" 1911... just way cheaper. :D
