Will I need a recoil buffer to suppress my p226?

I have an old W.German Sig p226 that's gathering dust in my safe. I've been throwing around the idea of suppressing it. So my queston is very simple, Will I need to buy a recoil buffer beforehand or can I just buy the threaded barrel and call it a day? I've been trying to look it up with mixed results.

What do you mean by "recoil buffer"? Does your suppressor have a Nielsen Device or booster? If so, that's all you'll need. If your suppressor is a straight threaded can with no booster, you'll most likely need one for the Browning type tilting barrel system the P-226 utilizes to function correctly.
