will my ammo work in Glock 21?

OK, I just bought 50 rounds of Fiocchi 200JHP for my
Glock 21. I was told that I should avoid shooting lead
through this gun, but when I examine the hole at the
tip of the hollow point, it appears to have lead in it.

In fact, there is a warning on the side of the box that
warns of the effects of lead, etc.

The ammo appears to be copper. Perhaps this is the
"jacket?" I just don't want this gun to go kaboom in
my hand thats all.

You want jacketed bullets for compatibility with the Glock's rifling. The exposed lead inside the hollowpoint cavity does not contact the barrel or rifling.

The warning refers to airborne lead particles, after the bullet has left the barrel. This is a pretty standard warning. Again, with a fully jacketed bullet, this is minimal.

I have a G21 and as long as you don't shoot all lead bullets or lead reloads in it you should be fine.
Like The Lone Haranguer says the center lead part won't matter.

Check the photo out. As long as its not totally lead/no jacket your ok.

You can't shoot lead in your glock because of the type of the rifling. It has flat side and not traditional lands and grooves. The soft lead can fill in the low/flat spots on the rifling causing the pressure to build. This is what can cause kabooms, if the barrel is leaded and the pressure builds. HK's have the same type of rifling and use the same warnings. The warning has nothing to due with the exposer to lead or lead vapor, its all about the rifling leading up and building unsafe pressure.
