WILL Sig 225 mags fit and be reliable in a Sig 239 for certain?

I know the rumor; but has anyone shot the Sig 225 mags in a 9mm Sig 239? Be nice not to have to pop $100 for each extra 239 mag!

The rumor is that P225A1 mags will work in a P239 with just a baseplate change. I have not tried this.

Original P225 mags (NOT A1) are NOT compatible with the P239 in any sense!

The P225A1s are the same mags with different base plates. The problem is they are not available either.

The best thing is to get the P239 mags. Up until last week Osage Orange Co has NIW P239 mags for $43. They are out of stock now.

Re: baseplates, if I can find them for the 239 mags then I just switch out the 225 A1 plate with it and it’s all good I guess. Maybe
OO-CO has a few baseplates in their scrounge box, will check.

I remembered this thread on another forum when I had my P239, the guy shows P225A1 mags fitting the P239 without modifications. I never tried it as I ended up trading mine it might be worth a shot.
