anyone think the Rhino could be a lemon?

given some reviews of the 1911-22 chiappa has made junk before

I have a friend that really interested in the 6 inch rhino .357

im a little leary of them tho given the quality of the 1911 22

Their 1911-22 is meant to be cheap.

What are their cowboy revolvers like? I would assume the Rhino would be more in line with the quality of those.

From what I understand it's designed by Emilio Ghisoni, the creator of the Mateba auto revolver. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing but I've read a few times that he's supposed to be very good.

The design is probably solid, Matebas were well made but Mateba is not the same company as Chiappa.

If the Rhino is as well made as a Mateba it'll be fine.

Yeah, from most accounts the Mateba was on an equal footing as the Smiths & Colts of the same era.

They were supposed to start shipping in June but I haven't seen any yet. Hope they are decent, I would love to have a 6 inch... and a snubby.

I'm probably going to get a 6-inch stainless, then a 3-inch carry in black if I like it.

(otherwise I'll just resell the 6-inch)

My Chiappa 1911-22 has over 30K rounds and going strong! My wifes has probably 15K+ and going strong, most reviews I have seen for Chiappa's 1911 has been great! I am holding out for the DAO Snubby Rhino, I got a chance to shoot one last weekend, was like nothing I have ever shot before!!!! TRhey told me 749.00 retail and it comes with a Vega style holster!
