i have a maverick 88 pump and it shoots slugs real good out to 50yds, but i can't get a good sight picture out farther with just the bead sight. i have been looking at two different sets of sights that fit the rib and wonder which would be better? they are both the same price so i want to get the best one. a slug barrel is $150 and i can't afford it, these sights are $25. the sights are Truglo Tru-Point Xtreme Deer/Trky Sight Universal and the
Williams Universal Slugger Shotgun Fire Sights. thanks

Williams hands down.

Why?

Honest question... Ive been meaning to ask for suggestion to do what the OP is doing and I don't have any meaningful knowledge in this area.

Is the light pipe size bigger...smaller...? Is it a better or easier clamping system for the DIY guy?

The Truglo Tru-Point Xtreme Deer/Trky Sight Universal has 2 rear sites, one is like a peep site..... for what ever that's worth...?

Williams from my experience are brighter using a smaller pipe. For his hunting application a larger pipe would be a hinderence IMO. I use 5 Williams sights on 5 different guns, truglo came on one barrel build, didnt like it ,too large swapped for Williams. All are cardshoot guns where you need to be spot on.
