Williams FP-94 on Winchester 94 30-30

I am interested in getting a Williams FP-94 for my Winchester 94 30-30, old model, circa 1972. Question, do I have to remove my rear buckhorn sight if I mount the Williams peep on the receiver? Also any advice of aperture sizes, gun will be used for plinking and short range (< 100 yds) hunting? Thanks.

I'm not positive on the 30-30, but on my 94 in 44mag, I had to remove the rear sight and install a taller front sight.
