Williams WGRS on Tikka T3: Anyone ever try this?

I was thinking of finding an aperture sight that fits a T3, but nobody advertises one as a direct fit. Then I noticed that the same rear base (Weaver #61) that fits the flat receiver Savage 110 / Knight M85 also fits the Tikka T3. By extension, couldn't one logically surmise that the Williams WGRS peep sight for the flat-back Savage also fit the T3?

I'd like to see before ordering one whether anyone else has ever tried this. I'm also wondering if the threads will be standard or metric and hoping that won't be a potential issue.

Any input here?

I have a rounded bottom WGRS on a different gun and two other Williams rear sights on other guns. I can tell you they ship with non-metric screws.
