Win. 1300 question

I have a Winchester 1300 in 12ga with a full choke barrel. The barrel is marked for 2-3/4" shells only. If I wanted to shoot 3" shells or larger, would the only thing needed be a different barrel? Or is there a difference with a magnum receiver?

The receivers are the same. Are you sure it is a 1300 and not a 1200? I thought the 1300's all had 3" chambers.

No,you're not screwed. Just shoot 2 3/4" shells. There are VERY few times when 3" or longer shells even help. 99.99% of the time you will be just fine with the shorter shells and the other .01% of the time they only offer a very slight advantage.
