Win model 1200

I would like to change the mod barrel to one with screw in chokes, but I've been told the 1200 barrel is too thin to thread. Also been told the 1300 barrel is thick enough to thread or already comes threaded and it is a direct drop in for the 1200 barrel.

Anyone know or have experience with this, please?

I don't know if the barrels are interchangeable or not. But these guys will thread many barrels considered too thin and have choke tubes designed for thinner barrels. Wouldn't hurt to give them a call and ask. It might be cheaper and easier than finding a 1300 barrel.

They made 1200s with win choke barrels. Check ebay.

Yes. They are interchangeable.......The 1200 is a 2 3/4 in gun. The 1300 is a 3 in gun..........I owned both and interchanged the barrels and shot both with no trouble.
