I'm "getting to know" my "new to me" 1300 (an XTR model, which I'm told is 1989 or older).....
I've encountered some little idiosyncrasies (aside from furniture details)....
It appears that on the newer models the slide arm bridge is connected to the bolt by means of a curved tongue that engages into a groove in the firing pin. On my model the slide arm bridge is attached to the bolt by a machine screw.
My 1300 has a metal trigger guard and the new ones have injection molded plastic.
I shot a friends 1200 about a month ago and aside from the furniture, I didn't really notice any difference......so....I'm wondering.....does anybody out there know what changed when the model went from 1200 to 1300? and what year did the model change occur?
I'm wondering if my 1300 has some characteristics that are hold over from the 1200.
