Buddy of mine has one of these that was purchased new by his father in 1943/44? Serial # is 133XXX which shows 1943 to 1948.

He wants to sell it but is not a "gun guy" and I don't know enough about Winchesters to advise him on value. It is in good condition with no rust, good wood and has a williams peep on it.

Anybody have a rough idea of value?

We looked on Gunbroker and Guns Inter. with no real success. Thanks

A couple grand give or take a thousand or two I suppose, depending on condition. This is an old thread, but the information says the Blue Book pricing is way too low on Winchesters.

www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/2705705/1

Last year's Blue Book says $1000 in 100% condition and $750 in 90%.

BUT, ADD 150% for a 20-inch barrel.
ADD 300% for .25-35
(400% for .219 Zipper)
Cut the price in half if it's been drilled for a scope.

If it has a checkered stock it's Deluxe and the 100% price is $2500.
