I was at Wal-Mart (in PA) the other day and found a great deal on 9mm Factory ammo. It was called Winchester 9mm 115gr Target/Range Value Pack 100ct for roughly $11.

Does anyone know if they offer this for 45ACP or other calibers normally? I live in NJ, so Walmart doesn't sell ANY ammo here for me to check a store here.

Thanks MPI

Here the 45 bulk packs are 19.95 or close to that when they have them in stock 45 are hard to come by just like the fedral 22 bulk packs..

Winchester White Box (WWB) is well known for being good inexpensive ammo. I've shot at least a thousand rounds of the 9mm and it's worked great. It's about $11-12 here in Ohio, too.

I've gotten the Win value packs in .45ACP, .40, and 9mm at Wally World . I seem to recall seeing them in .38 special once and maybe a few others that I can't recall.

It is good range ammo and much cheaper than anything I can get at my range.

Where I shoot it is $15 for 50rnds of 9mm reloads. :cuss:

Wallys here in OK have 45. I shoot it a ton. They also have a UMC that is about the same price.

And yes they do have 38 as well.

Not to go off topic but didn't some one say that they are offering the .223 in the same 100ct pack?

(or was that a pipe dream that was dreampt without the pipe?).

I've burned through more 100rd WWB .40 then I care to remember :)

but didn't some one say that they are offering the .223 in the same 100ct pack?
Oh, now I'm going to wet myself :uhoh:

Boy I hope so, although the 40rd boxes of WWB in .223 are pretty cheap.

Academy Sports carries the WWB in 9mm,.40 . .45 and .223.

IIRC I paid $8.46 for the WWB 100 rd 9mm. Forget what I paid for .45 ACP. I failed to get the price for .223. Hands were full and "trying" to get another box of 28 ga loads without dropping everything. The handbasket was too full...you know how it goes...:p

If not reloading or saving the brass, the Blazer ammo is good. Academy has the 9mm 50 rd boxes for $3.86 .

Zundfolge,

It may have been 40rds but I swear (sorry) that I read somewhere that they were going to do the 100ct or are doing the 100ct.

How much for the 40ct box? The local gun shop that I bought my AR is selling military roungs (in the real box) for $4.95. I know this because he through in a free box.

I've shot a lot of the WWB 9mm in my EAA Witness. It works like a charm! It sells for $10.96 at Wal-Mart here in the New Orleans area.

I've seen the WWB there in 9mm, .40, .45ACP, .223, and most recently, .38 and .380. Local price on the .380 is $16.97. I shoot it in my Kel-Tec P-3AT without too much trouble, although it suffers an occasional FTE with it, mainly when dirty. I've heard that Winchester uses a softer brass, which molds itself into the chamber more tightly after firing.

I saw that the Academy Sports in our area has 50-round boxes of Winchester 9mm for $4.86! That's $9.72/100, over a dollar cheaper than the bulk packs. Unfortunately, I'm much closer to Wal-Mart than Academy, so that's usually where I buy my ammo.

Santa brought me 500 rounds of WWB 9mm, and 100 rounds of WWB .380, so I'm set for a little while, at least.

Last I looked the 40 round .223 WWB were $7.58. That's about what, $190 +tax a case? I'm fairly certain you can have decent .223 delivered to your door about the same (or less) from places like ammoman.com aimsurplus.com and others.

Yesterday I picked up a box of WWB in .45. It was $12.99 for 50 rnds. I'll go back several times to pump up my supply shelf. Its nice to have a little extra.
Mark.

The WWB Value packs are great! That's all I really use for my .45, 9mm, and .40 needs.

The .38 special are also good cheap ammo for wheelguns.

Look around for some Remington JHP value packs for slightly more. Wal Mart also sell those too.

They are one of the best deals out there. The valuepacks are also a great source for brass if you are into reloading. If your store does not have the caliber you need, you should try asking them to stock it. In my experience, they will gladly stock it if there is a demand.

Yeah, $20 for 100 rounds of 45 ACP is pretty good. I got a bunch of it for Christmas, and I also grab more whenever I'm running out of CCI Blazer and the next shipment hasn't arrived yet.

Natchezzs.com sells CCI Blazer for $7 per 50 if you order 20 boxes. With shipping it translates to about $160, or $8 per box. It doesn't get much better than that for 45 around here.

WWB is pretty good, no matter what caliber. I used to shoot it in .45 before I started reloading and I still prize that brass!

Natchezzs.com sells CCI Blazer for $7 per 50 if you order 20 boxes.

I hate you guys that shoot that crap - no free brass for me! :p

The local Wally-World in Glen Burnie, MD has the .45 bulk packs for $19.95 also.

FWIW....AmmunitionStore.com has the Sellier and Bellot .45 for $79/500. When the next gun show comes around, I'm going to see if he'll honor that price so that I can avoid paying shipping.

$10.96 a box for 9mm WWB at Wally World around here too.(When sturmruger hasn't bought them out. :p ) They have .45, and .40, I haven't loooked at the price, because when I shoot my buddy's Kimber and XD, he supplies the reloads. (Only person besides my Dad whos' reloads I'll shoot.) I usually supply the Mosin ammo, and .308 and .223 for his Saigas. I don't shoot Blazers out of autos anymore, they don't work in my Kel-Tec, and FTE'd too often with other guns. Fine (but dirty!) for revolvers, though. ;)

Last time I looked, local Wally-World had the 100-round value packs in 9Milli .40 .45 and also .38Spl. IIRC, 9Milli was $11, .40 was $15, .45 was $20, and the .38Spl was $16

I’ve shot the 100 round value packs in 9mm, .38 special, .380 and .45. All have shot well, reliably and reasonably accurate. There is also a .40 though I have never tried it.

There is also the 100 round birdshot pack, a 15 round shotgun slug and buckshot value pack, a 40 round .223, and I saw a 40 round 7.62x39 but I was unable to get a closer look at it due to it being after 10, and my Wal-Mart has been sold out since that night.

Anyone else know of any value packs I didn’t mention?
