Is WST a fairly new powder? I have seen where it seems to be a very popular choice for .45acp with many here as well as other forums, but the only load data I can find is from Winchester. I always prefer to check at least 2 published sources. I have been using 231 and berry's 230 rn and was wanting to try a different powder. Does anyone use WST and Berry's 230RN, or have any sources.

Editing to add that I don't have a problem with the 231 it is just that I am still wet behind the ears with handloading and want to experiment. Also, please no lead loads. the range that I use is indoors and no lead allowed otherwise I would be using them. Much cheaper.

WST is not really new. It's been around 6-8 years now. It was/is a replacement for AA-452. Because it was originally a shotgun powder, it hasn't gotten a lot of attention until lately.
It is slightly bulkier and faster burning than Win-231.
For MOST applications for W231, I prefer the WST. It dosen't leave the "grit" behind that W-231.
THE EXCEPTION IS IN HIGH PRESSURE CART. SUCH AS 9MM AND .40 S&W.
For these, W231 is better because of slightly slower burning and don't leave the "grit" at the normal pressures of these cartridges.

A lot of .38spl loaders/shooters shoot a LOT of WST. 2.6gr of WST equals 2.7 of Bullseye, and 3.1 of W231 in 148 Wad cutter loads, and loads volumn for volumn at these charge levels. It is VERY similar to Hodgdon Titegroup powder, and I'm told, V-V N310.
