Winchester 1500 XTR

I found a Winchester 1500 XTR for sale for $350, in pretty good shape. So I searched the internet and found very little about it. It seems it is either exactly the same as a 1400 but with better quality wood. OR, it is very similar to a 1400, not sure of the exact differences.

The weird thing is, if you read what people have top say about their 1400's it is mixed. Most say it is a decent shotgun. Some say it has minor issues. But the handful of comments I read about the 1500 were all very positive. Everyone who has one seems to like it.

Anybody out there know something more about this Winchester 1500 XTR?

Mechanically, the same as the 1400. The 1400/1500's were nice looking, and handling shotguns, however they were built with a lot of cheap to produce, fragile parts. Parts can be hard, to impossible to find. I personally wouldn't take a chance on one at that price. I see a lot of them for sale under $200.
