i don,t have much interest in newer winchesters, but when this win 94 trapper in 30-30 came up for sale and upon seeing the wood i had to buy it. for a standard trapper model to have this wood amazed me. and its not for sale. eastbank.

What does the AE stand for? Is it just a model designation?

Bought one just because I have never seen one.

I picked up an AE with the tang safety last weekend at our local gunshow. Pretty clean gun. It is a shame that an icon rifle like the 94 has to be put through a bunch of changes because of a pack of lawyers. First the crossbolt safety and then the tang. I would rather have an old model and depend on common sense for a safety.
