The mid bead on my Grand European trap fell off this morning.
It appears that some of the plastic (ceramic?) is still present. However, I don't think enough of the metal housing is left for me to get a firm grip on.
My understanding is that this bead is a press fit - not threaded. I'm very nervous about drilling it out, as I don't want to mess up the taper. I guess drilling it out and tapping it to receive a threaded bead is an option, but I'd like to keep the gun "original" if at all possible.
Any suggestions re. extraction of what is left of this bead?
