According to the USRAC website, they're shipping some/most M70s with new bottom metal that includes the trigger guard and floorplate hinge in a one-piece assembly. This looks like a nice solution to the accuracy problems that are sometimes (at least in my experience) caused by the middle action screw (at the front of the trigger guard).
Has anyone got one of these? Do you think it shoots any more accurately? I've never sprung for the Williams version, which runs around $175. The list price on the new Winchester part (aluminum, not steel) is around $60 including the floorplate, so I might order one to see whether accuracy improves in my 70s, but I'd like to hear from the congregation on this before I do.
