Winchester 70 - will this ring/base combo work?

For the Winchester Model 70 Sporter with a Leupold 3.5-10x40, will the low Leupold rings work with the Leupold dual dovetail mounts?

I want to keep the scope as low as possible. Will there be any problems with this setup?

I have a similar setup but with Burris Signature medium rings and a Nikon Team Primos (40mm obj.) With the scope caps on I have some clearance between the barrel and objective.

I will try to post pics when I have a chance. Right now I am cooking dinner so give me some time. I think you will be okay but I went with medium rings because I just wanted to be safe.

With a sporter-weight barrel and a 40mm objective, the low rings will work just fine.
