Any help is appreciated. I've looked at the auction sites and everywhere online that I know of and not having much luck.
Very good condition Winchester saddle ring carbine .44magnum with 20" round barrel and full length magazine tube, adjustable rear sight, nice walnut, all original 90%+ maybe closer to honest 95%. I know the first year of mfg was 1967 and this one is early enough that it does NOT have the crossbolt safety. No box or paper.
Value?
Thanks

There are two vintages of 94 Winchesters in 44 mag....the late 60's version which had a birch stock/forend and a multigroove barrel (I have one of those), and the later version made for a fair amount of time before they went out of business for a while.
The first model doesn't command much more of a price than the later and if I had my druthers, I'd take a later one with walnut and good blued steel. Mine is mint, I inherited it from my dad, but the receiver blueing looks like paint and the stock is cheap birch. It also won't shoot lead over about 1100 fps. Does great with jacketed stuff, particularly the old Norma stuff that dad had and which I carefully ratioon out. Either one should be able to be bought for $400 or so, more for the minty ones, less for the worn ones.
