I just inherited my dad's old '97 16 ga. It is sawed off due to an unfortunate mud/trigger pull incident many years ago. There is a chip missing out of the length of the wood on the pump. The whole thing is very old and hammered.

I am thinking, there is no collector value left in this gun. I don't ever plan on selling it anyway. My dad (and his dad, for that matter,) would want it to be kept and shot. And I would like to have a 16 ga in the family. Is there any best way to just hand it over to a smith that specializes in antique guns, and have it re-built, re-barreled, and re-blued?

Call Tom at old western repair at 520-568-2852 after 5 pm AZ time.
I had him do grandpa's 16g a couple years ago. fantastic work.
