Winchester MDL 40 Skeet Gun

I haven't shot this in over forty years it did run good back then I think the serial number puts it at 1940, I have a couple of extra tubes for the Cutts on it.
I'm thinking of letting it go any idea on a WIW?

I would guess around $250. They aren't very popular with collectors, and the Cutts and recoil pad hurt the value.

Actually from the research I've done the Cutts and recoil pad are standard on the skeet gun.

The Winchester Model 40 has a bad reputation. I don't know if the current version says it or not, but the Blue Book used to have an "Unreliable" label next to it.

Yep they had a reputation for breaking the stocks, something about the stock bolt and recoil mechanism.

Maybe I'll get a couple of brass wall hangers and stick it on the wall in the family room.
