winchester model 12 forend

Does anyone know if a spanner type wrench is available to remove the ring on the forend?

I know Brownells and Midway sell special wrenchs to fit Remingtons, but I don't know about the Winchester. I use needle nose pliers with the tips ground off and turn them with a Crescent wrench, very carefully on my Remingtons and haven't had a problem in 34 years. But, I am not sure what the configuration on your Winchester looks like exactly. They do sell different size spanner wrenches if it's an outside cut you need to address.

Brownells sells two forend wrenches for model 12's.

the two ended tool will work for 16, 20 and 28 gauges
