Winchester Model 12
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a Winchester Model 12, 2 3/4 chamber, pump, simmons rib barrell, 30" full choke, purchased in approximately 1952. Anyone have an idea of its value? Excellent Condition. I am thinking about selling it.
Thanks
Deedes
Your mod 12 probably has little value as a collector since it has a Simmons rib and not a factory vent or solid rib. It depends on the condition of the gun overall and the quality of the wood. With great wood, good fit and finish the gun might be worth $500-800 with the factory wood, normal wear and tear, a ding or two here and there, you are probably looking in the neighborhood of $300. Winchester had many grades of wood in stright and pistol grip stocks and long and short forearms. Before steel shot was mandatory for waterfoul, mod 12's were worth more. In my opinion it is one of the finest shotguns made. At one time I owned sixteen mod 12's and mod 42's. Never owned a 16 or 20 ga.
