I know the new model 1982's are made in japan, but they lookb& feel like the real deal. My question is on quality... are they well made? Are they machined like pre-64's or stamped & cast like all the new model 94's out there?
+1
I have a Browning B-92 in .44 mag, made by Miroku. It's top notch quality.
The Japanese may have harsh gun control laws .... but they sure know how to make 'em right.

ALL Winchester reproductions (to include the discontinued Browning models) are milled out of steel that is generally of better quality than new production US steel, and far better than the US arms steel of old. They exhibit excellent machining and overall workmanship as well. I would not hesitate to buy any current production Winchester reproductions, nor the recent model Browning ones.
