Earlier this year I bought a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight from the local Cableas. Stampted on the barrel is "-Made in USA - Baco INC - Morgan, UTAH-". My understanding was that the barrels were made with the new rifles in Columbia, South Carolina. Can anyone explain the markings on my barrel?

Thanks in advance!

Tim

BACO is Browning Arms Company, and that's their address.

Winchester, Browning, and FNH-USA are all in bed together someway.

Winchester Repeating Arms is a subsidiary of BACO Inc., in Morgan, Utah, which is a subsidiary of the Browning Arms Company/Fabrique Nationale, which is also FNH-USA.
