Everyone is saying winchester is going out of business or selling out or whatever and that the factories that make the model 94s and 1300s and stuff are closing on March 31st.

Personally I don't buy it. I believe this is just a trick so that the"new" winchester can have their "custom shop" 1300s, model 70s, and model 94s that cost 3 times what they do now.

What do you guys think? I think its dirty marketing. (It is working though, I'm going to buy a 1300 defender)

It's already been confirmed here by numerous sources. A search will show it. It's not looking good for Winchester/USRAC/FN/Olin.

The word from a distributor is that Taurus may be working on something to get the 70 & 94.

Eh, believe what you want to believe. I'm waiting for the bottom to fall out of the 70 prices.

I fell for Swiss Arm's dropping of the SIG P210. Not that I'm complaining (that it forced me to finally buy one of those).

Winchester Model 1300 and Super X2 shotguns are being made by FN now.
They concentrate on Tactical type variations at the moment but they will probably start shipping sporting variations to the states in the very near future.
These guns aren't going to disappear, they will just be marked with a different name now.

If Winchester is no more, then why were they at SHOT with a bunch of new models? :scrutiny:

Gun show in Sioux Falls this weekend - Alot of vendors have admittedly raised prices on alot or all models on tables. I did see NIB 9410's marked from $695 to about $895:what:
