Winchester Over and Under???

Cabela's currently has a Winchester o/u for $1099, which is lower priced than the B guns.

I've shot and loved an SKB and I've disliked the Stoeger.

Any thoughts?

I picked one up yesterday along w/ brownins, Berettas, skbs, and a slew of other o/u shotguns and it fit me like a browning. It is not nearly as nicely finished as a browning or Beretta but looks like it would make a nice field gun

Sevengunner: I have had two 20 Gauge SKB`s, one a S/S and the other a O/U, since 1973. And I have not had one single problem with either one of them, both are a joy to shoot and hunt with, they both fit me very well right out of the box. The S/S has 26in tubes in MOD/FUL and the O/U has 24in tubes in IMP/MOD. IMHO my two SKB`s are about as good as it get for me.

IF the Win fits you, great!.. The issue with the older ones were that they didn't really fit too many that well and beat the snot out of folks as a result. They are now owned by FN like Browning

Is it a new one or an old one. Very different guns. Originals were made by Olin-Kodensa if I remember right. New ones are made in Turkey, if that matters to you. Too soon to tell how well they will hold up.

i have a Belgium-made Winchester 101 Supreme Field model, 12 ga. Bought gently used for $1100. Terrific gun, fits me great, my sporting clays scores have improved noticeably with this gun. Wouldn't trade it, although I also like SKBs and I'm fond a a Franchi I just bought.

I have a Winchester 101 Field, 12 gauge with 28" barrels. Made in Belgium by FN Herstal, not in turkey. It fits me like a glove. I bought it in 2010 for 1100 bucks at Bass Pro. Great upland shotgun. About 10.000 rounds without a single failure. Now and then I also take it to the range to shoot trap and wobbles with extended Trulock chokes. It swings perfectly and has a very affordable recoil. I think that the Winchester 101 is the best gun you can buy for that price.
