For all you handgunners that like the USA Brand (Winchester White Box) value-pack ammo...[like ME!]

I stopped in at my local Wally World last night, and saw the Winchester White box ammo val-pack in .38Spl. $15.97/100. Bought 2 boxes, and a value pack box of .45ACP. Looked like they also has the WWB in .380 Auto

The .38Spl load is the 130-gr FMJ

I still haven't seen the .380 value pack though I remember hearing something about it a while ago. Cool.

Since I load mostly everything now, I just buy factory every now and again for easy ammo and brass.

My favorite practice .45. $9.97 or something / 100rnds...although whoever stocks the local walmart is a retard and they're always out.

I like to stock up, so I go in and buy 8 boxes or so the other day and the counter guy says "Going to start a war?". I smile and nod my head a bit, 'very funny'. As I'm gathering up my stuff, I lean over and look him in the eye and ask "Where's the nearest middle school?"

No reply.

Currentl Wal Mart is carrying WWB Value Packs in the following calibers:

.38spl
.380ACP
9mm Parabellum
.40S&W
.45ACP

Now if they'd only put out a WWBVP for 158gn .357 magnum.

GRD-

Good Lord, don't even joke about shooting up a school. These days, that's like yelling, "Fire!" in a crowded theater. That clerk might have called the police. Too many people these days are fully conditioned by the media in their attitude to firearms, and the average Wal Mart clerk is no gun enthusiast, either.

Anyone-

What is their "white box" .38 Special load, the 130 grain full jacket?

Their Remington-UMC 9mm 115 grain JHP shoots really well and with full reliability in my CZ-75B.

WWB .38Spl value-pack load is the 130-Gr FMJ round.

According to the Winchester web site, that load is 800 FPS muzzle velocity. Should be farily easy on the hands and the gun. PMC and Federal (American Eagle brand) have a similar load.

I haven't fired any of the WWB rounds yet, but both the PMC and American Eagle loads were comfortable to shoot in my snubby .38, and a real pussycat when used in the .357 Vaquero.

I sure wish they'd carry 9x23 in value packs, but there's probably little chance of that.

On the otherhand, a local grocery store does stock 9x23. I buy all they've got every time I go there.

My last trip to Wally World I picked up some WWB in .380 and 9mm flavors.

And noticed that they have the following in WWB 100rd box:

.38spl
.380ACP
9mm Parabellum
.40S&W
.45ACP

I've been shooting the 9mm a lot lately. Plenty accurate. It's pretty much stopped me from reloading for the 9. The Walmart in my general area has it for about 11 bucks for 100. Not as low as I'd like, but low enough that I keep buying it.

I'm still waiting for my local Walmart to get in the WWB in .38spl and .380ACP. When I ask if they are ever getting some in they look like I'm speaking a foreign language. One guy even told me there were no such thing as .38Spl or .380ACP.

Not funny.... :fire:

You should have told him something a little more tasteful....

...such as "Nope. Gonna take care of some tresspassers down on the Border"...

...like I tell mine.
