I frequent several firearms threads and have seen a few people mention that they or a friend or family member has won a firearm. I'm curious to know if anyone on the board has won one and if so, where at?

I won an Anschutz 1416 at the smallbore silhouette Southern Nationals at Winnsboro, LA in 2010. Sad to say that it was in a drawing rather than because of my shooting. . .

In about 1997, I won a Glock 26 in a raffle limited to those of us who were range officers at a Glock sanctioned match in Colorado.

I won my Springfield xDM9 in the Staff drawing at an IDPA Sanctioned match up in Wilkes Barre, PA a few years ago.

I won a "SHOT Show special" carbon fiber-finished Browning Hi Power in a raffle at a Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation banquet a couple years ago.

I've been a Friends of NRA table sponsor for the last 17 years, and have won a total of two guns. A S & W 22A and a Kimber custom II, wife won a Ruger mark III. Could have bought these guns 20 times over, but it's a great cause.

I've won several at USPSA, Single Stack Classic and IDPA matches.

It's always fun to win a gun!

My wife won a smith 642 at friends of NRA a few years back. Like tygranch said could have bought it cheaper than what I have spent over the years, but its a good cause

I won a Norinco SKS several years ago, at a raffle held at a Gun Show many years back (don't remember the name of the club or point of the raffle, all I remember is I won!). It was one of the first SKS's imported from China, including the attached folding spike bayonet. As far as free guns go, it's not bad!

Back in 1997 I was the lucky first prize winner of that years gun raffle put on by SCOPE, ( Shooters Commitee On Political Education ). Bought the tickets at a gun show like I usually do. They had the first prize gun right there on display and I was absolutely drooling over it while filling out my ticket stubs. A Ruger KM77VTMKII in .25-06. That's the target model and it also had a new 6-18x Burris Fullfield on it. Still have it and plan on it being part of my estate. It now has a Leupold 6-18x Vari-X II in Leupold rings (the Burris is now on a varmint rifle). Got the first two antelope of my life with it in 2003 (one at close to 325 yds) with its pet load. That's the only gun I ever won; I'm sure that over the years I've been buying tickets to win a gun that I've spent a lot more than what that Ruger would have cost me but hey; it's for a good cause.

Last year my name was drawn for either an Aimpoint Pro, which was good enough for me:D

I've won three guns in raffles. First one was the duck hunters package about 20 years ago at a Ducks Unlimited banquet, Remington 870 waders and a bag of decoys. Second was also a Ducks Unlimited banquet about five years ago and that was a Glock 19 on a $5 raffle ticket. The last gun I won was three or so years ago at a Turkey Federation banquet, and that was a Remington 1100 20 gauge, which also happen to be the NWTF gun of the year, with gold insignia in the receiver of the gun. I don't plan to shoot that gun, so yes I've been pretty lucky.

Friends of the NRA Dinner, won a S&W M&P40(no manual safety). One of the last to purchase a card from the boobie girl walking around. Best $20.00 for a Two of Clubs I ever spent.

I won a compound hunting bow at a rodeo in Oregon. You were automatically entered into the raffle with your numbered parking ticket stub.

Won an 887 Express and a .17 HMR at various raffles.

Bought several guns of other winners for great prices too.

I couldn't win a piece of rust left over from last weeks yard sale.:scrutiny:

However, my brother in law won two Ruger 10-22 rifles, (over the course of a summer), and gave them to my sons for Christmas one year. He could shoot those pistols!

You guys that win guns...congratulations!

Mark

Must be some major luck in here. Never won. Bought a bunch of raffle tickets though, I'm just that guy that helps pay for said gun.

Years ago my father won a .22 Lorcin pistol. He knew it was absolute junk, os he soldered some large fishing hooks on the slide, and made a dandy shark lure from it. Worked great for a few years, but now it rests deep in the channel.
