Wish S&W would...

How about an L frame size revolver in .41 Magnum and/or .44 Special? Don't know if it's possible but I sure would definitely be interested in getting them both.

I'm sure it's probably not physically possible, but I'd like a 6 shot L-Frame in .45Auto.

What IS possible is a L-Frame 6 shot 41 Special. The 41 Special is currently a wildcat round but if S&W would chamber it it would become a commercial round.

I'd rather see a .40 Auto Rim.

S&W 581 with a 3" barrel and round grip
and bring back the standard barrel commonly called the pencil barrel
S&W 13 with a 3" tapered barrel.

A Model 12 in 9mm with a 4" tapered barrel and round grip

...get rid of those damned locks. I've only owned two S&W revolvers with the lock and never experienced any problems. But it's just one more thing to possibly go wrong with something no one can afford to have anything go wrong with, especially in a carry piece.

S&W, what are you thinking?

Polish out their cast triggers and hammers to better match the SS models. Enough with the fake look of hammer forged, color case hardened.

Lightweight 4" K or L frame. Whether metal or polymer doesn't matter.
Bring back the 386.
Lose the ignition switch on all guns.

Naw, just a .40 with a rim for all the 646 and 610 owners out there.

Of course, that would make a nice compliment to a .41 Special. :)

Wish Smith would.....
Ditch the IL, MIM, and frame mounted firing pin.
In other words, start making Smith & Wesson revolvers again.

Bringing back the really nice high polish blue would be nice, too.

Gimme a 4", blue, 586-nothing any day.

Bring back the model 16 K-32.

Bring back the P&R model 19 and the 15-3, both 4" and snub.

Everybody hates the lock, but it doesn't bother me. I wish S&W would put 2 locks in, make people hate them even more. Let the price fall to below Taurus levels, and I would buy the crap out of them

Make an all stainless steel 44 SPL on the "L" frame, with a 3 inch barrel.
Would a 41MAG fit in the "L" frame? As a five shooter?

Good idea. The .44 Spl is in question too and would likely be a 5 shot, which is okay for concealability.

My Taurus 430 (discontinued) is what you describe and is 5 shot.

Charter Arms is now left with that whole market.

A 942 in Scandium frame with the 547 extractor system.

Or a SS 547 re-issue.

But they would probably be out of my price range.

.41 mag 5 shot L frame should be doable. It has the same case length and overal length as .357 mag.
How well the L frame would hold up to it, I don't know.

For that matter, .44 Mag should be doable. Once again, don't know how well the L frame cylinder and forcing cone would hold up.

ISTR reading about L frame .44 Specials having problems with cracked forcing cones.

Shame, since Taurus made K frame sized .44 Spls and mine never had any problems, even after shooting the snot out of it.

Wish I'd never sold it.

But, I wanted to move up to .44 Mag at the time.
Now, I'm more interested in shooting .44 Spl.
