Picked up 3k 230 grain Wolf FMJ bullets other day. Does anyone have any experience with these or knows who is making them ? Going to work up load with Hornady data.

Probably why they are on sale in the first place.

Yep the bullets should be min diameter .452. At .451 you will probably not need to expand the necks after resizing! Accuracy might suffer but until they are shot all guesses at best.

.451 or .452 would not matter to me… it’s $.13 FMJ shipped! amazing price

I think my Hornady and Speer FMJs are both .451 too.

Yep, jacketed .45 ACP bullets are generally .451, with lead generally being .452.

Actually Wolf is an importer that sources product from various countries.

Their popular Wolf Gold .223 (5.56x45mm) is from Taiwan. Their Match grade .22lr ammo is from Germany

Interesting. The only box of Wolf stuff I ever saw said 'Made in Russia,' so I assumed that's where it all came from. I don't fool with Wolf anything... soooo....

That was likely a box of 7.62x39mm from Tula. They stopped importing that a while ago.

Their boxer primed, brass cased .223 from Taiwan is excellent. Their match grade .22lr is world class in my Anshutz shorter.

Like Springfield Armory, whatever they sell comes from another country. Just because you first saw a pistol from Croatia or a battle rifle from Portugal doesn't make that their sole source of product
