One shop has it at $5.99/box, the other at $7.50/box. How's this ammo going around you? Luckily I got mine from a buddy at $2.00/box.

:D

7.62 is $6.00 a box around me right now at the local small stores for Wolf Mil. Classic. I've been looking online but alot of sellers are priced at $249 for 1000 rounds. That's WAY too high and I'm hoping the price will come down after the a couple of months. In the mean time, AIM surplus has HotShot 700 round cans for $139. I bought one a couple of weeks ago and have two more coming. They're so backed up with orders though, they told me they can't ship my order for at least two weeks.
Check Classic Arms, they have a pile of 7.62 as well.

Yea we're also planning on loading our own, got all the components but when the price goes up wont the bullets/primers go up just as much? I dont know they say it wont be worth it but even if we save a few cents a shot it'll be worth it. who knows : /

I unloaded my AK and picked up a Mini-14; 223 is easier/cheaper to load for, and I can keep it under $3.00 a box.

I don't remember what a box cost, but a case is about 250 here. That's MC though. I haven't seen regular Wolf for a while other than by the box.

sticker shock

You think those new prices are high, check out the new prices on 223.My dealer says his new prices for brass 223's are 600 something a thousand. Those places that claim lower prices are out.

Just got 1000rds for $225 from AmmunitioToGo but it's gone up since the day I bought it

Bought some locally this week: Wolf for $24.95/100, Wolf MC for $26.95/100, & Golden Tiger for $27.95/100 .
I received some Barnaul from Graf & Sons yesterday for $5.29/20 with free shipping. But I see the price this morning went up to $5.99/20 .
