Woo hoo! I just called home and our LTC's just arrived. Less then 4 weeks. My wife received an LTC A restricted for sporting purposes and I received for all lawful purposes. My wife did not really push for all lawful purposes and only wants to go to the range. She virtually accepted this level from the police sargent who issued the test and took our info. Because I am a business owner and more experienced I suspected that I would get the carry license. The sargent even said that he generally issued to business owners. Man, what a relief. The day I applied for my permit the sargent asked me why I wanted a "for all lawful purposes" permit. I replied that I was a businees owner and that I am in the disaster response business. I get calls at all hours of the day or night and often have to go to
"bad" neighborhoods. He proceeded to ream me for a good 20 minutes about how I had an attitude and that given my reference to "bad" neighborhoods that I was probably a racist with an attitude. My wife just smiled and said all she wanted to do was go to the range and target shoot so he loved her. All smiles and pats on the head. Then he turns back to the evil me and verbally assaults me for a while. They tell me that the strategy was to see how I would react. I went to my happy place and stayed calm. I guess it payed off!

Interesting. Glad you kept your cool. And congratulations on your LTC. Since our Commonwealth went to this Class A/B system I think that we are seeing more "For All Lawful Purposes" licenses being issued.

Too bad your wife did not apply for one also. Just because you have it, doesn't mean you HAVE to carry.

Excellent!
Have your wife try for the "all lawful purposes" at her renewal in 4 years. By then she'll have plenty of experience.
