First off I want to say that I really enjoy this site and spend a lot of time reading posts. Unfortunately with the hours I work I don’t get much time to post anything of my own.
I just picked up my first surplus rifle (M44 Nagant) and felt the need to celebrate a little bit. Haven’t had the chance to shoot it yet but hopefully will in the next week.:)

nice. looks real pretty. whered you get it. how much you spend and whos the importer?

welcome to the world of Mosin Nagants ( MN for short) i myself have a 91/30

You have picked a nice rifle. I have several of those. They kick like a
Georgia mule. I find a PAST pad worn on the shoulder will make it tolerable.
Also some of the wolf ammo has 200 grain bullets. 100 rounds is a lifetime
supply. The light ball is more pleasant to shoot. There is a load called
short range ammo; it has a 40 grain bullet at 3400 fps. It is sold by
century international arms for about 10 cents per. I like it for plinking
around, as it is accurate out to 100 yards and has almost no recoil.
Most of the surplus ammo is corrosive; just clean the bore properly.
happy shooting.

Thanks guys.

I purchased it from Classic Arms for 100.00.
