Does anyone know if anyone makes an aftermarket wood stock for the Savage 10FP?

I was almost decided on the Model 25 Savage in .223, but then the more I read the more I wondered if maybe that was not the right model for me.

I am caught between models and understand I can not get it all.

I like the 12 series finish and wood, but it is very heavy and expensive. There is a thumb hole/fluted barrel model, but is is $800 to $900. I was hoping to stay in the 5 or 6's.
The 10FP is a good price, the right weight, and accurate, but that plastic stock and matte finish is not my first choice.
The Model 25 has everything, but is likely not as accurate as the 10 or 12 series, and at the end of the day, isn't accuracy most important?

Hard to believe with all the rifles Savage makes that I would ask for another.

My uses would be bench use and practicing prone and sitting, but would also like to be able to hike around a bit with it once in a while for mobile varmit hunting/hiking.

Anyone else been in the same spot and what did you do?
Thanks
Chad

From what I've read you might lose 1/4 MOA going from the 10fp to the classic series. I own a 10fp and it will shoot 1/2" groups if I do my part. If I had it to do over again I would go with the classic and be happy with 3/4" groups. The weight of the 10fp is not unbearable but its too much to lug around and its not nearly as good looking as the classic.
