I ended up getting two sets for my 642; a set of Magnas with a Tyler T grip and a set of Walnut Badger boot grips!

I like the Badgers best so far, but we'll see...
I'm glad you like the Badger Custom grips best, I do to. I posted them above hoping you would take a look at them before you made a final buy...

I have a set of Magnas with a Tyler T-grip for my model 60. Makes it easy to pocket carry it. I have a set of Badger customs (three finger) on a model 36. I've had them for about 19 years and they still look great. If you carry a J-frame OWB or IWB, they are great. I just purchased a set of K-frame boot grips from Badger and really like them.

Even though the Badger Custom grips are made of wood they seem to be more comfortable shooting than rubber grips, for me at least. I think it's the design, not the materials they are made of. I find them to be comfortable when shooting even stiff loads.

I had magnas and the Tyler "T" grip on my model 36 but they still felt small. It didn't matter as much with just a .38. I stayed away from the rubber grips because they tended to drag on clothing when drawing. I prefer the "larger" smooth wood grips with my .357 model 60.
