Finally after two weeks I got off early today and grabbed the Kahr along with my Diamondback 380 and headed to the range.
After watching the Kahr website presentation several times I field stripped the pistol for a good cleaning and lubing first which was fairly straight forward.
I first decided to burn a a half box of .380 ammo to keep in practice with my daily carry and then got started on the Kahr.
My first thoughts were how stiff the magazine springs were when loading this thing and for some reason particularly so on the included spare seven round mag.
I brought along three boxes of 115 FMJ ammo and this was Winchester White Box,Remington UMC,and Magtech.
The first two magazines out of the standard magazine using the WWB was perfect.
I then put the seven round mag in and the pistol had a failure to feed on the second or third round with the WWB.
After 25 rounds I switched over to the UMC and again everything fed, fired, and ejected perfectly using both mags.
So after 25 rounds of the UMC I wanted to try the Magtech.
Again zero problems.
So in 75 rounds with three different types of ammo using two different magazines I had exactly one FTF and as hard as that magazine is to load I truely think it was the issue.
Hopefully it will loosen up with use as for right now my fingers are sore!
This pistol is pretty accurate and I am pretty much a pistol noob.
The recoil, though much more than my 380, is not bad at all.
Will be heading back to the range in the next day or two to see how the last half of the three boxes do.
So far I like this pistol and look forward to getting some holsters for it to try it out for the day to day walk in life.
I also ordered another 450 rounds of various 9mm to try out and to soon have this pistol broken in so I can try some different SD loads.

Congrats, I have the PM40 and love it. I have about 400 rounds through it and no problems. These things carry so well. I have a 3inch Kimber I carry half the time and the PM is so much easier than the small 1911s even. Especially in AZ weather.

I have an MK9 which is the all steel version of the PM9 and i love shooting it.
Mine has taken a little fine tuning to get it 100% perfect, But i like fine tuning my guns.
Make sure you load your mags and let them sit a week or 2 and that will help them and possibly stop any failures also as it loosens up the springs.
Also the extractor Kahr uses is a pretty unique design and it may need some rounds threw it for the tension to lighten up and any harsh edges to wear in.

If things don't get too 100% give Kahr a call, They have been great in my experience in the customer service dept.
Now im just waiting for a CM45, But ill take a PM45 if i have too. :)

Thanks for the tip on the magazines Dasfriek.
Frankly as well as this pistol did today after 75 rounds and brand spanking new and very tight I think this is one pistol that will never see the home factory again.
At this point I'm glad I bought it.
Gotta get me a holster and quick!!

I suggest you not buy any HD hollow points in bulk until you have tried them in your pistol. I have a PM40 and it wouldn't fire any of the hollow points I could find with reliability. So I tried the Corbon PowerBall ammo and it has functioned flawlessly. I've had no problem with FMJ/Ball ammo, so it is an issue with the edge of the hollow point that causes the feed problems. After I get a few thousand rounds through it, I'll try hollow points again.
Some guns are picky, but I don't see that as a problem with a carry gun, because I will always have the right ammo for it; or not carry it. Range guns are nice if they shoot anything you load them with. Your life isn't at risk on the range from BGs, just idiots.

No feed problems with my cw9 except when racking the slide - usually takes a tap on the slide to engage. Using the slide stop i have never had a failure to load. I use a mixture of Cor-bon DXP and Speer GDHP for sd and Magtech and S&B for the range. If i ever shoot the DXP's i am unlikely to re-purchase - they don't feed well in most guns and man they are expensive. I think Gold Dots will suffice at half the price.

I have put another 100 rounds through last week and again the only issue was when I used the 7 round magazine as I had two failures to feed over about 40 rounds put through it.
Zero issues with the 6 round magazine.
Probably need to take the 7 round mag apart and look it over.
This is really a nice pistol.

I have two all black PM9s and neither of them feed 100% with the seven round mags. The six round mags work fine in both guns.

Kahr concealed pistols, ala P-series/PM-series/CW-series are the best thing to happen to RKBA and the world of pistols since Glock came along.

My CW9 has been flawless and is the only truly concealable weapon in a 9mm or + range that I've ever found that just plain works and is KISS approved
