The leathercraft will probably never be up to what CraigC can put out but for a 1st attempt it has me hooked. The knives are old files, and in the case of the larger one, a farriers rasp. Just gotta learn how to drill holes in hardened steel and make handles from wood and micarta. Its amazing the things you can learn on Youtube.

For a beginner you seem to be doing well. Looking forward to seeing more photos as you improve.

The tube can show you how to do things but the only way to develop yous skills is by doing them. It's called practice and I consider every project I do to be one more practice piece. I have been doing wood and metal project since I was kid and leather work since I was a young adult. I still feel there are tricks to figure out and things to learn with every project I have done.

Your stuff looks very good for a first attempt. Keep on practicing.
