I caught this program on tv the other day... it was somewhat entertaining watching idiots on the road.
HOWEVER,
It started off with the narrator stating that for the FIRST time* auto-related accidents surpassed firearms in annual deathcounts.
*edit* the show was produced within the last year*
I knew right off that had to be BS since I looked those stats up back in 2004 before calling a radio program. Back then there was something like 44K auto deaths and 13K firearms deaths.
According to Gunfacts it was back in the 20's when firearms were surpassed by autos.
Did anyone else happen to catch that?
