The CZ 2075 RAMI. Wow, it looks small. Don't have the conversion chart for metric handy, but I bet it will give the Kahr PM9 and the XD Sub-compact some competition.

That is, if they import it at all to the USA, which I don't think they do.

With the success of subcompact, "potent caliber" handguns in the US market (i.e. Kahr arms) I dont see why CZ would keep this little gem away from us....and if it is priced similar to the way other CZs are priced, I am sure they would sell like hot cakes...

I for one would buy that model in 9mm in an instant!!

Ill start this by saying....NOONE is a bigger CZ fan and would like one of these more than me.....

Dont plan on seeing it for a while ...thats if at all. The alloy frame doesnt permit it to take the abuse that CZ wants to produce it..unless they reengineered it. CZUB, the factory/company will only produce guns that will take a min of 15-25000 rnds with out any failures/wear in the frames. So far..as of 2 weeks ago..the frames were not up to snuff....
CZUB is considering making them a steel framed gun......

Even if they get it dialed in...in its current form...it wont get around USA import laws.

Sorry....thought yould like to hear it straight instead of the usual stuff you get teased with from just about every gun company.....

What makes you think it won't get past the import regs. I saw a thread on this piece a little while back and the fella's on there figured it up and it should be able to make it in.

Just curious. If you can bring in a sig or a glock of about the same size(or smaller) why not a cz?

Yep, we did the math on another thread a few months ago, and the RAMI scores more points than the Glock 27...

I have updated this info to include the specs on the RAMI as converted from listed metric specs. When I did this the first time, I was guessing at caliber, weight, OAL, etc.

To qualify for import a pistol must score 75 points.

RAMI

My understanding is, that RAMI pistol was created and designed mainly for US market, as most of Euro countries does not permit weapon carry to civilians anyway and therefore here is not much market for small carry pistol except only few countries (Czech Republic is so far one of them). Saying that, I believe that CZ figgured out the point system in advance, before they start design the thing.
I do not know whether CZ had any durability issues of the RAMI frames, but from info available in Czech gun rags, the gun is ready for production.

Like I said...I hope your right and Im wrong.....but never the less. They werent supposed to show it at the shot show this year.....but did anyway.

It may have been produced for our market...initially and would make sense..we all like small powerful guns...I have Kahrs...snubs etc.

It still has to get here

Ive seen the some write ups in emails...none Ive ran across have fired one of the guns...so I gotta wonder.

If what is being said is right...then they got the bugs worked out of it....cool.

They ran into importation problems with other things than the size...Ill find out the details and pass them on.

Jesse...It actually looks like a shrunk CZ40B...the back sight and more square..(to small for curves)......I agree.

Its Cond 1 capable......for IWB or Cond 2 for pocket carry.....

I would buy it over a Kahr. A Kahr needs holster to protect that light trigger. This thing is a true DA. Pocket or waisthband in a pinch.

There is no slide stop on the Rami, at least not in the traditional sense. That circular looking bit is for field-stripping the gun.
The slide locks back on the last round, and after inserting a new mag, you have to pull the slide back a bit and then let go to chamber a round. In that way, its similar to the CZ52.

I think it would make for a good BUG, and for those who've chosen the CZ75/85 model as their choice, it will help keep things simple because the RAMI can use the same magazines as the fullsize and compact models.

Thats a really good looking gun, I would definetly buy one if the price wasnt too bad. I think I would melt the hell out of it, but thats just me. I like all my pistols to have a radical melt.
